You might have been lucky enough to talk to filmmaker and Customer Champion K, if you’ve ever called up to chat coffee. Find out some of the unusual ways coffee can be used, and a little more about the person at the end of the customer service line!

What were you doing before you joined the Pact Coffee team?

I worked at a range of places, including the V&A and Forbidden Planet, but I’ve got a background in coffee - including Starbucks, and Costa.

What brought you into the world of speciality coffee?

Because I love ethically sourced coffee (of course), the team is fab, and the office has a great vibe.

What does your role involve?

Brewing a cup of coffee, helping to resolve home customer/business client queries and issues, making people feel loved and cared about and finding out how we can improve what we’re doing. And sharing the love of coffee, always!

What’s been the best part of Pact so far?

Getting to know customers really well, to the point where they want to pop over to the office for a coffee and to meet the team.

What’s your relationship with coffee?

It’s essential to my wellbeing, so I like to know that the journey the coffee bean makes is soulful. Love and respect is always the key ingredient in everything.

What was your most memorable coffee experience?

Tasseomancy - I once had my coffee grounds read. Wasn’t the best cup of coffee, but a very surreal experience.

We have coffee on tap in the office, but how do you brew at home?

I use a Bialetti stovetop at home and froth the milk manually to make beautiful single shot lattes. It’s the only reason people come over, I’m sure.

What have you learnt from working at Pact?

Teamwork makes the dream work! No seriously, it makes all the difference working with a group of people who understand coffee and actually want to make the world a better place.

Give us a fun fact about you:

I use coffee in my paintings.
